Thank you for sharing part of your visit with me. Let me demonstrate my appreciation by sharing my recommendations for fresh food, getting around easily, and all the local spots I love in the Phoenix Metro.
Food
For perfectly prepared breakfast classics head to U.S. Egg, a local chain serving breakfast & lunch faves in diner-like digs filled with art inspired by America.
For big patios with plenty of outdoor seating and fresh mediteranian food, check out Pita Jungle. Any of their pizzas and salads make a great combo. Vegeterians and those with special diets will feel welcome by the accomodating menu and staff.
For fresh Mexican food from a family owned business try El Maskadores. This tiny taco shop offers a taste of Mexico City right in the valley. The Rolled Tacos are my personal favorite. With multiple locations it’s great for pick up.
If you’re ready for a mesquite grilled burger, real potato french fries, and a cold beverage, head to Burger Rush in Tempe. If you’ve just finished hiking with me you can likely afford to add a cold milkshake to that order. You can order over the phone, online, or come in and enjoy the diner style seating.
Wine Bar Chic Chef 77 is an upscale wine bar located in the heart of Tempe, Az. Chic Chef 77 provides a 200 bottle rotating wine list, craft cocktails, appetizers, and charcuterie boards!
Transportation
Phoenix Limo Connection is your VIP private car service in the Phoenix metro area for airport transfers, corporate transportation, point-to-point service, and special occasions. The professional drivers are punctual and their late model cars are luxurious.
Public Transportation: While Valley Metro’s system of busses and lightrail have their moments of convenience, it can often be excessively time consuming. Be sure to use the Trip Planner to check your travel time.
Ride Sharing: Don’t stress yourself with our traffic; let a ride share driver get you to the trail. Keep high traffic times in mind, as it may take longer for a pick up.
Car Rentals: While some guests have experienced issues with long lines at the airpot car rental and rush hour can make arriving on time a challenge, there are some benefits. You can easily venture out of the metro area to gorgeous natural spaces like Saguaro Lake, Sedona, or the Superstition Wildernes.
