September promises perfect temps for early morning outdoor activities. Let’s make plans now to explore, play, and stay healthy with nature-based adventures by Sweat and Sunshine. Designed to maximize the restorative benefits of sunshine and green spaces, every adventure is also an opportunity to focus on fitness. This week I’m offering a solution to help with “electronics overload” by highlighting The Art of Seeing in the Sonoran Desert.
Outdoor Adventures for Fall: The Art of Seeing
Ditch the digital noise and escape to the natural world to practice the art of seeing. We’ll hike 2 miles and gain 200 feet of elevation to observe, question, and reflect on the interconnections of the uniquely beautiful Sonoran Desert.
Along the trail we’ll learn about the vegetation, geology, insects, and animals that surround us. We’ll pause at 3 serene locations to take Naturalist-style field notes with two goals in mind. The first goal is to see deeply with intentional curiosity and the second is to allow our brains to be wholly occupied by that one objective.
Your observations, questions, and reflections will enrich your experience and develop gratitude and reverence for your environment. Learn to harness your natural desire to know and use it as a tool to help you see, wonder, and remember future experiences.
Safety During Covid-19
Payment is made securely online when you book, so no physical contact is required. Once we meet up we’ll have plenty of space to easily practice social distancing. Natural sunlight and circulating fresh air aren’t just good for your soul; researchers recommend them to help minimize the potential spread of Covid-19.
A little sweat in the sunshine will challenge and inspire. Let me lead you through an outdoor fitness experience, like The Art of Seeing, to prove it. Learn More and Book Here! All fitness levels, bodies, and family groups welcome.
